Broadcast Journalist

Cathy Wurzer is a long time broadcast journalist with a career spanning more than three decades. She is best known for her work as the host of  Minnesota Public Radio’s Morning Edition program and as the co-host of Almanac, a popular weekly public affairs program on Twin Cities PBS. Over the years, Wurzer has built a reputation for insightful reporting, especially in the areas of politics, culture, and community issues.

In addition to her impressive career in broadcast journalism, Cathy has made notable contributions as both an author and a producer. One of her acclaimed books, We Know How This Ends: Living While Dying, a Minnesota Book Award nominee, is based on her interviews with Bruce H. Kramer, who dealt with a terminal ALS diagnosis but was determined to continue to live to the fullest. 

She has also produced several impactful documentaries that highlighted Minnesota’s rich cultural history.
